Clubs
After-school clubs at Carver will be made available to 4th grade students. The activities will run from 2:20 - 3:15 the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. If your child has been selected for chorus, he/she is not eligible to participate in another club. Students must be picked up by 3:15 on club days and must not receive more than two discipline forms. Good character allows students to participate in this special privilege.
Participants will experience the outside world through carefully planned activities aimed at increasing awareness and fostering a love of nature. Each month, the emphasis will be different with activities and discussion surrounding the theme for that month. The garden club will select an area to improve on the Carver campus to rejuvenate and beautify. Club participants will also create a garden project in the spring. ******************************************************************************************
For students who love to draw! Students will sketch objects and scenes around the school, experimenting with different drawing media. Come and join the fun! ************************************************************************************
Club members will have hands-on experience in using a digital camera. By the end of the school year, students will become "pros" at editing their photos and inserting them into a variety of documents. They will also create a number of projects using their photos. *************************************************************************************
This year's Science Club will be named the Green Team. Students will work on environmental issues in our school and our community. T-shirt painting, recycling, painting trashcans, and working on stepping stones are some of the activities planned. Come and join us as we work to make our school a better place! *********************************************************************************

This group will need to be at school by 7:30 on the mornings they work. This group will NOT meet after school; most of their work will be early mornings and at the end of the day.
