Carl Crawford is our Artist-In-Resident.

As part of our Arts In Basic Curriculum grant, he is showing the students his style of using collage to make it appear as an oil painting.  He is quickly gaining popularity with his art.  One of his most famous works is on the cover of the phone book for Columbia.  All fifth grade classes and Upper Montessori worked on a group project, which will be displayed on one of our halls.

She’s the author of several novels and picture books, including

Mother, You're the Best! (But Sister, You're a Pest!).  She came and spoke with all students and showed them how she comes up with her book ideas, how she illustrates them, and what is involved in writing and publishing a book.
