Students have one more week to qualify by having a minimum number of books read, reading one of the SC Children’s Book Award Nominees, and having no discipline referrals. 

Reading Lock-in Requirements

1. Have good behavior – no office referrals
2. Read at least one of the Children’s Book Award nominees
3. Keep a log of what you read between now and October 31^st:

Ø      Kindergarten – 1^st grade – Have 25 books read to you, or read them yourself.

Ø      2^nd – 3^rd grade – Read 25 books (If you read a chapter book, count it as 2 books.)

Ø      4^th – 6^th grade – Read 4 chapter books

The lock-in is November 14, 2008 

K-1^st grade: 6:00-8:00pm (sign in at 5:45)

2-6^th grade: 6:30pm - 8:00am (sign in at 6:15)
