| Our
second graders study a variety of subjects. The students enjoy using Reading
Renaissance to enhance their reading skills. Mathematical skills such as problem
solving, addition and subtraction, with and without trading, and multiplication
0-5 are also emphasized. In addition to reading and math, our second graders
enjoy thematic units which include pioneer life, ocean life, China, Mexico, and
ants/insects. Cursive writing is introduced during the school year to
students. Second graders also enjoy lots of special activities and instructional
field trips that are offered at Royall Elementary School.
