Important Policies
And Procedures
Parents, please make note of the following important arrival and dismissal policies at Timrod:
MORNING PROCEDURES
Children who
eat breakfast at school should arrive no later than 7:20 a.m.
Students who do not eat breakfast at school should report
immediately to their assigned places
First bell rings at 7:40 a.m.
Teachers will pick up their students and move to classrooms.
The late bell rings at 7:50 a.m. Students who are not in classrooms by 7:50 a.m. will be
marked tardy.
Parents
must sign in tardy students in the office.
AFTERNOON PROCEDURES

Students are dismissed at 2:10 each day. We encourage you to avoid signing out your child early unless there is an emergency. |

If your child is a car rider, please plan to arrive between 2:15-2:30 p.m. so that we may avoid creating a dangerous traffic flow problem. We want all of our children to get home safely. |
TV Stations WBTW and WPDE will announce if school is CANCELLED, on a 2-HOUR DELAY, or if there will be EARLY DISMISSAL.
· If there is a 2-hour delay, school will begin at 9:50 a.m.
o Bus riders should be at their bus stops 2 hours later than the normal time. Example: if the bus usually comes at 6:45 a.m. it will come at 8:45 a.m.
o School will dismiss at the usual time - 2:10 p.m.
o Breakfast will not be served if there is a 2-hour delay.
· If we have early dismissal the media will announce the time students will be dismissed. Parents may sign-out students at any time.
