      Director Larry Hughes (second from left) received the recognition of the Board of Trustees on behalf of the faculty and staff as a Palmetto Gold and Silver award-winning school.  By improving student performance in the percentage of students mastering core competencies, percentage of twelfth graders in final level occupational classes receiving diplomas, and in percentage of completers placed in the field trained, the Career Center was recognized by the State Department of Education.
     The school received a flag, a plaque, and a cash award of $3896 (provided by the state lottery).
