Create a Multi-Page Web Site

Using Notepad

Follow the directions for each step below to create a multi-page web site. You will research a topic, collect images, and then create your web site.

Select a Technology Topic – worth 100 pts. (counts as a Classwork Grade)

Select a topic:

Go to one of the websites listed here and pick a topic that interests you from the site.

Write a one-page report in WORD about your topic. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE.

• Double-space the report. Use Arial font, size 12.
• List the web site from which you got the information.
• Proofread it.
• Print a copy, and turn it in.

Collect Images for your Web Site

Create a new folder in My Documents and rename it TECH. Remember to put all your images and web pages in this folder.

Using one of the free photo sites from the link on your web page collect at least four photos for your web site.

Create your Multi-Page Web Site – worth 100 pts. (counts as a Classwork Grade)

Using Notepad, create a home page which must include:

• The topic you chose;
• Links to your next page(s);
  your first name as the webmaster and the date you created/updated the site;
• It must be saved as index.htm.

Your second page must include:

• The detailed information about your topic;
• links to the first page and any other page(s) you create;
• the web sites from which you got the information and the images/clipart you use;

You may create a third page for any other information you want to include.

Use a background of your choice on these pages; place the images where you like on the pages, but you must use at least four images/clipart somewhere on your pages.

These assignments should be completed by the end of class next class period.
