Educating Today for Tomorrow's Careers

Mission
The mission of the Florence Career Center is to provide career awareness to all students with an equal opportunity to develop a marketable skill and good character in order to become productive citizens.

Philosophy
The philosophy of education in Florence School District One is to educate all citizens with regard to their interests and abilities and to the extent that our means and facilities will allow.  It is the responsibility of the Florence Career Center to meet the needs of each student who is interested in developing occupational and life skills.
Occupational Education serves as a bridge between the student and the world of work by providing the necessary entry-level training to enter an occupation.  It is essential that each individual develop skills which will yield sufficient income to meet the necessities of life.
Occupational course offerings provide educational opportunities for those who are college bound and those who desire training which qualifies them for the ever changing world of work in business and industry.
The occupational curriculum of Florence School District One emphasizes preparation of young people for employment, job responsibility, and citizenship.
