Amy Rhodes, Media Specialist

Amy Rhodes, a native of Florence , has a background in both Elementary Education and Media. She graduated from Francis Marion College in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  Her 16 year career has been in Florence School District One. She taught at Timrod Elementary for six years and Briggs Elementary for two years in Grades 1-5 before moving to the Media Center at Briggs. She earned her Masters of Library and Information Science at the University of South Carolina in 2002.  She worked in the Media Center at Briggs Elementary for six years.  This will be Mrs. Rhodes' third year as Media Specialist at Delmae Elementary. 

Mrs. Rhodes has been married to Florence native, Allen Rhodes, for nineteen years. They have two sons, Jeremy and Todd.  She also has two standard poodles, Peaches and Cookie and a cat, Meir.  She enjoys reading, listening to music, knitting, and spending time with her family.
