How to set your computer to make sounds when you receive e-mail.
1. Right click on the icon of the globe with the letter in it next to the clock (lower right corner of your screen).
2. Pull up to Options. Left Click.
3. Click on the Notify tab.

4. Click Play Sound in the Standard Priority window. If the location of the sound file is not in the box, type C:\Windows\Media\Notify.wav.
5. Click OK.
6. Make sure your speakers are on. Send a message to yourself to see if it worked. If it doesn't work, the wav file may be damaged or missing. Any wav file will do. Wav files may be downloaded from the Internet. Also, your volume controls (right click on the speaker icon near the clock) may be set to mute.
