 Lester Elementary After School Basketball Program begins this Thursday, February 5, 2009.  All interested boys and girls in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades must have permission slips and T-Shirt money in when they come to the first practice on Thursday.  All practices will be held after school at Lester from 2:15-3:15pm.  Please read the permission slip for additional information or contact Ms. White.

Text Box: We are thankful every day, and as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we should all be mindful of how truly blessed we are to have our children.  With this in mind, we all should pool our efforts to make sure they are getting the best education possible.  We will do our best to keep them actively engaged and focused on learning while they are here at Lester.

Thank you!!! Lester parents for your donations.  The community support was overwhelming for the fall carnival. The event was a GREAT success. The students were excited to WIN prizes and treats.

From physical education

Students have just wrapped up their gymnastics unit.  They have completed their gymnastic sequences combining traveling movements with rolls and balance beam.  Fitness gram fitness testing begins November 3rd.  All fifth graders have brochures explaining the test elements.

Jump rope for Heart contribution envelopes were given out the last week of October.  They are due back with donations enclosed Friday, November 13, 2009.  A Jump rope for Heart event will be scheduled before Thanksgiving.  This will be in combination with Hoops for Heart to benefit the American Heart Association. ”Give from the Heart”
