I believe my
role as an educator is to lead, guide, and direct students to
discover their fullest potential as a well-rounded individual.
In order to achieve this, a student needs to have a balance
between the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual
aspects of life. It is my task to address these areas, which
require a balance within the class. I believe that every
student is unique and special. Therefore, every class of
students presents a community of learners with varying
abilities, learning styles, and backgrounds. I must continually
seek new research and best practices, reflect, and make
intentional decisions about my teaching practices.
