Welcome to First Grade
Mrs. Brown received a BS in Early Childhood Education from Francis Marion University. She also received her Master’s degree from Lesley University in Education with specialization in the creative arts. This is her third year teaching at Savannah Grove Elementary. During her free time, Mrs. Brown enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
Mrs. Fortnum received a BA in Sociology from Francis Marion University and a Masters in Social Work from University of South Carolina. Then she went on for a teaching degree in Early Childhood Education from Francis Marion University. This is her twentieth year teaching at Savannah Grove Elementary. She loves working with small children and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Fuentes is in her fourth year as an assistant at Savannah Grove, her third year in first grade. She loves working with first grade teachers and all students. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Lewellyn received her BS degree from Francis Marion University. She also received her Master’s degree from Lesley University in Education with specialization in the creative arts. This is Mrs. Lewellyn’s ninth year at Savannah Grove. She has taught fourth grade, first grade, and was a Pact Coach in Lamar, SC. Mrs. Lewellyn enjoys swimming, eating, and spending time with her family.
Miss Mathews received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from South Carolina State University and her Masters of Education from South Carolina State University. She has just completed a Masters of Science in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. Miss Matthews is National Board Certified in Early Childhood Generalist. This is her twenty-fifth year of teaching and her fourth year at Savannah Grove. Miss Matthews believes all children can learn and she enjoys teaching them.
Mrs. Roeder is in her second year teaching first grade at Savannah Grove Elementary School. She graduated with a B.S. in Early Childhood from Francis Marion University.
