Welcome to Kindergarten
Mrs. Covar received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Francis Marion University. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as her dog, Ace. Mrs. Covar is a huge Carolina Gamecock fan and looks forward to football season every year. She loves working with small children because they make learning so much fun! This is Mrs. Covar’s third year teaching at Savannah Grove Elementary.
Mrs. Giraldo was an accountant at the Cooperative University of Columbia. She discovered that she loved to work with children while working in a daycare for five years. She is very patient and she enjoys when the children are learning. This is her third year as a Kindergarten assistant at Savannah Grove. She is married and has one child. She loves to read and spend time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Truluck received a BA degree from Francis Marion University in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s of Education degree from Lesley University in Creative Arts and Learning. This is her sixteenth year teaching and her thirteenth year at Savannah Grove. In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, and scrapbooking.
Ms. Humphries is in her fourth year at Savannah Grove Elementary as an Assistant on the Kindergarten team. Prior to coming to Savannah Grove, she taught 4K in a daycare setting for fourteen years. She has three children, Matt, Zach, and Lauren, who keep her very busy. In her limited free time, Ms. Humphries enjoys reading, cooking, and singing at her church.
Mrs. Tyner
Mrs. Tyner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary
Education and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Francis
Marion College. Since then she has completed 30+ hours in various
educational courses. She has taught 30+ years in Florence District One. Mrs.
Tyner is married and has two children. In her spare time she enjoys
spending time with her family, kayaking in the mountains, shopping, and
traveling.
Mrs. Palmer has been a Kindergarten assistant at Savannah Grove since 2001. She is married and has two children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading books, working in the yard and cooking.
Ms. Webb earned a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Coker College. She also received her Masters degree from Francis Marion University. Ms. Webb has taught in Florence District One, for thirty-five years. In her spare time she loves to exercise, work in her garden, and travel.
Mrs. Ponton is in her fifteenth year at Savannah Grove and enjoys working with the Kindergarten Team. She loves watching the children's faces when they learn something new and their eagerness and curiosity at such a young age. Mrs. Ponton loves to travel, read and work in her flower garden as well as spending time with family and friends.
