      Welcome to our Small Learning Community website.  The School of Health, Education, and Human Services is one of four SLCs at South Florence High School.  The other SLCs are our School of Foundational Studies (9th grade), the school of Business, Marketing, Finance, and Information Technology, and the school of Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, and Industrial Technology.   Our mission at SFHS and within the HEH school is to prepare the students to become responsible citizens and life-long learners.  In addition, we will strive to specifically direct each student toward the career most compatible with his/her strengths.  The ultimate goal: to prepare students for the challenging educational and employment opportunities available upon graduation from high school.

     Within our SLC we have a talented, diverse, and enthusiastic team of qualified teachers, counselors, and administrators assembled for the purpose of serving and preparing students for the future.  The focus of the School of Health, Education, and Human Services is to create an environment with a community of learners (students and teachers) who will effectively work together across the curriculum and challenge one another to fulfill our mission and improve our local and global community.
