| Florence Education and
Business Alliance The Florence Education and Business Alliance (FEBA) was formed to determine the most optimum method for implemented the EEDA in District One. The first three career clusters to be implemented with tight ties to business are Manufacturing, Health Services, and Business Management and Finance. Students declaring majors in these areas will be provided with at least one out-of-school experience, allowing them to see first-hand a professional working in a field they are interested in. FEBA also reviewd the existing classes available in these three clusters and edentified additional classes which would better perpare students once they have graduated from high school. As a result, six to seven new, hands-on classes are available in these areas. Wthis these three business alliances nearly ready for implementation in 2007, FEBA will soon focus on the alliances for the 2008 school year. This critical partnering between business and educatiors ensures that students are being taught material that is relevan in today's highly competitive workd and better prepares our future workforce for success. Finally, the successful implementation of this program will help enhance the future economic growth of new businesses moving into our area. |
