On March 12, 2009, the South Carolina State Department of Education announced the 2008 Palmetto Silver and Gold Award Winners. Wilson High School has been awarded the 2008 Palmetto Gold Award.
The State Board of Education established the Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards Program to recognize and reward schools that attain high levels of absolute performance and schools that attain high rates of improvement.
We are very proud to be rated as one of South Carolina's top schools. Wilson High School was one of 162 schools awarded a Palmetto Gold for performance.
We congratulate our students on this great accomplishment and thank our wonderful staff, families, and alumni for their love and support of Wilson. D-E-E!
