AFROTC February Blood Drive
From Cliff Moriarty, Lt Col, USAF Retired Our first Spring “Blood Drive” was a big success. We appreciate everyone's help and support in this important school-community activity. On behalf of the American Red Cross and AFJROTC - thanks for all you did today. We had over 113 people sign-up to donate their blood with 89 participants actually attempting to donate this morning and afternoon. Of the 89 people who came through our Auditorium doors, the Red Cross was able to garner over 57 pints of blood for our local “blood bank”. Unfortunately we fell short of our 78 pint goal, but everyone who in-fact came-out, did an outstanding job. Thanks to our Corps of Cadets, Ms Jo Pike and her Red Cross staff, as well as Dr Edwards, Mr. Tuten, Mr. Jackson & Ms Mackrey - “all-in-all a great day on the blood bank scene”. Our second Spring “Blood Drive” is set in the April and we hope we can reach our goal. Again thanks to everyone from myself, MSgt Pat Bubacz and Cadet Colonel Will Christmas, our Spring Blood Drive Chair. A great effort on everyone's part, a classic Team Wilson effort … Cheers & have a great WHS Day !!!
