Welcome to historic Wilson High School! Wilson High School was founded in 1866 as a Freedman's Bureau School following the American Civil War. Our school's mission from the beginning has been to develop in all students the knowledge, skills and character to achieve personal success. At Wilson High School, we provide a wide variety of academic opportunities including a Middle Years Program and a Diploma Program as part of our International Baccalaureate World School, Advanced Placement courses and Dual Credit classes. In the fall of 2016 Wilson High School instituted an Early College Program in which students will graduate high school with an associate’s degree from Florence-Darlington Technical College and be even better prepared for the workforce or post-secondary education.
Wilson High School is helping all students develop the world class skills, life and career characteristics found in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a rigorous curriculum in a safe environment that prepares students for post-secondary education or the work force. We are able to provide our diverse population of students a quality education by constantly challenging them to become better students and leaders.
