Odom Recognized for 25 Years of School Board Service
M. Glenn Odom, a board member for Florence One Schools, has been recognized by the South Carolina School Boards Association (SCSBA) for 25 years of school board service.
The Florence native is a graduate of McClenaghan High School and is a 1977 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. He has been practicing law in Florence since 1978 and became an associate at the McGowan Rogers Law Firm in 2014. As a school board member, Odom serves as a champion of early childhood education. Also, as a member of the South Carolina School Boards Association, Glenn Odom was nominated to serve as the Representative for Region Five of the SCSBA.
He and his wife Rachel have two adult daughters and four grandchildren.
This year, 34 school board members from throughout the state will receive special lapel pins for reaching the 10 or 15-year benchmark. Another 14 will commemorate their 20th, 25th, or 35th year of school board service.
Veteran school board members provide vision and valuable leadership for school districts. SCSBA and the local boards are happy to honor these board members for their long-term dedication to improving student achievement in their communities.
