Classroom Behavior Plan
It is very important that we establish a positive learning environment for all students. Creating the opportunity to learn and develop both academically and behaviorally is essential to an effective classroom.
PBIS is the behavior management plan used by FSD1. At D.L.C. students are encouraged to “Be a Dewey L. Carter CUB."
C – commit to safety. U- use respect. B – be responsible.
Student behavior will be tracked on a daily basis on the PBIS Tracking Chart. Once the child has 3 offenses listed in one day, he/she will need to complete a PBIS Self-Assessment Form. An assessment is to help the student identify a negative behavior and learn a positive way to behave. After 3 self-assessments , an office referral will be made.
