Mrs. Henrietta Hall-Ross

I’ve been a part of the Greenwood Elementary School (GES) administrative team as assistant principal since 2005. Prior to becoming a part of the GES faculty, I was the 6th grade math teacher at Timrod Elementary and later became their intermediate Lead Teacher for math.

I earned a bachelor’s degree for Elementary Education from Coker College and a master’s degree in   Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities from Francis Marion University. I later enrolled at the University of South Carolina to earn a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision.

In all, I’ve been an educator in Florence School District One (FDS1) for 19 years. During this time, I’ve worn many “Hats”- especially as an assistant principal. But, of all the “Hat’s” that I’ve donned over the years, I rank the “Hat” of classroom teacher the highest! Being a classroom teacher provided numerous opportunities to see students make discoveries about the subject matter; to hear and see their reactions as they have, “Aha moments” is absolutely priceless!
