Teaching is what I know, what I do, and what I love!!
This year 27 years ago, I began my teaching career in Charleston at Ronald E. McNair Elementary School where I taught fourth and fifth grades for eight years. I then moved back to my roots in Dillon County and taught 8th grade reading at J.V. Martin Jr. High, 15 years as a 5th grade as an ELA and social studies teacher, and several years as a curriculum coordinator in the Marion County School District. For the past three years, I have been blessed to to be a part of the John W. Moore faculty where I've taught 5th grade ELA and social studies for two years and now beginning my 2nd year as a 6th grade science teacher.
Over the years, I have earned a Bachelor's Degree from Coastal Carolina University, an M.Ed in elementary education from the College of Charleston, and an additional M.Ed in educational leadership and administration from Capella University.
I am blessed to be a part of a very close and loving family consisting of my mother, three sisters, all of whom are teachers, six nephews, and two great- nephews.
I love building relationships with children, teaching children, and watching children learn!
Teaching is what I know. Teaching is what I do. Teaching is what I love!!
