It is my goal as the Behavioral Health Counselor to enrich and enhance a student’s ability to succeed in the classroom setting. Any student who is experiencing problems that interfere with learning can receive counseling services through the Behavioral Health Counselor. Students can be referred for services by school personnel, parents, or the student themselves. Behavioral Health Services are available during the school day, are strictly confidential, and require parental consent. I can provide Assessments, Therapy, Behavioral Intervention, Caregiver Services for Parents and/or Guardian, as well as Community Support Services. I believe that it takes a “community” to ensure that our schools are safe and violence free and will collaborate with the educational staff, local agencies, and outside resources to continue discovering new ways to make schools more productive for all.

My belief is, “The problems children cause are not the causes of their problems”. Therefore, my mission is to determine what those causes are and assist the student and his/her community in obtaining effective ways of eradicating those factors to enable the student to be successful.
