Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Foshee

Welcome to Resource at the Alfred Rush Academy. My name is Jennifer Foshee and I will be your guide during your time here. I want you to feel comfortable while in my class, so here is a little bit about me. I am starting my 24th year in teaching. I hail from North Carolina. I graduated from high school in 1988. I continued with my education at Greensboro College, in Greensboro, NC. I finished in 1993. My first teaching job was with an alternative school in Lexington, NC. From there I went on to teach at the middle school in the same system. In 1996, I married and in 1998 I had my son, Tyler. By 2001, we had moved to Florence. I taught at Moore, West Hartsville, Gordon and Dillon High School. This is my 6th year here and I am very excited. This resource class is designed to help you with your other courses, basic skills in math and English, and to work on your IEP goals. You need to come in each day ready to work. There will be warm-up assignments on the Smart board, dry erase board or at your desk. You will be given about 10 minutes to complete before we go over it and the plan for the period. During the time that you are with me, you will be expected to work. There will be little down time.
