CDR Brian Souchet

CDR Brian Souchet, a native of Queens New York, graduated from Boston University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a commission in the United States Navy. Upon completion of flight training he was assigned to the USS Midway, forward deployed to Atsugi, Japan, where he participated in numerous combat operations in support of Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Southern Watch. Follow on assignments included combat operations over both Southern and Northern Iraq and the former Republic of Yugoslavia. He retired from active duty in 2007 after 23 years of military service. In 2012, he began a second career as an educator, first as the Senior Naval Science Instructor at Fleming Island High School in Fleming Island, Florida and subsequently as a middle school mathematics teacher and religious education teacher at Annunciation Catholic School in Middleburg, Florida. CDR Souchet currently serves as the Senior Naval Science Instructor at South Florence High School in Florence, South Carolina.
