Ms. Faith Brown
My name is Faith Brown. I am an Exceptional Education teacher and the Exceptional Education Department Chair at West Florence High School.
I am a native of Effingham, South Carolina and I have one son, Pierre A. Brown, who is an Information Technology Specialist in Lee County School District.
I have worked at West Florence High School for 15 years in various positions, and have been employed with Florence School District One for 20 years. Teaching is a career I fell into many years ago; however, the more I teach, the better I get, and the more my students and I learn from each other. I believe our students teach us how to teach them; thus teaching makes me a learner as well. "The ultimate gift I can give to others is my integrity. The ultimate gift I can give to myself is an education." ~Faith Brown
I earned a B.A. in Sociology from Coker College in Hartsville, SC; a Masters in Integrating the Arts with a Specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University; a Masters in Special Education K-12, Multi-Categorical from Grand Canyon University Phoenix, Arizona; and I am currently a doctoral student at Grand Canyon University, studying Organizational Leadership K-12.
My hobbies include, but are not limited to: reading, singing, skating, talking, meeting new people, and spending family time with my son. I look forward to another year of teaching, motivating, inspiring, and encouraging students to be their best!
