Degrees and Certifications:
I am a Florence native and have been teaching at Henry L. Sneed Middle School since 2000. Over the years, I have taught Art One, Art Two, and Art Three. I am a graduate of Francis Marion University with a degree in Art Education and have my Masters in Education in Technology from Lesley University. I have been involved with different aspects of education including teaching for the FSD1 Horizons Art Program for two years and mentoring several FMU and Coker interns/student teachers. I believe art is connected to everything we do and I enjoy helping students build skills in creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
“Art is a nation’s most precious heritage. For it is in our works of art that we reveal to ourselves and to others the inner vision which guides us as a nation. And where there is no vision, the people perish.”
–Lyndon Johnson, on signing into existence the National Endowment on the Arts
