Mrs. Peterson

Mrs. Peterson is a native of Tallahassee, Florida. Upon moving to South Carolina, she obtained the status of being a “Highly Qualified” Teacher of English/Language Arts.  She has taught sixth grade through twelfth grade and at Florence Darlington Technical College as an Adjunct Instructor.  She is a graduate of Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Secondary Education.  She also has a Master of Education degree with a concentration in English from Florida A & M University. While at FAMU, she played clarinet in the famous “Marching 100” Band and was the first person from her hometown to become a member of this famed band. She recently obtained a second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina in May of 2016, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education.

She is an active member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church where Rev. Norman Gamble is her Pastor. She enjoys music, shopping, decorating, and family get-togethers. It is her hope that every student will be a success. Please contact her at linda.peterson@fsd1.org if she can be of assistance to you.
