How the Computer Lab is Used:

     Students in grades 1-6 use the Lab once a week. We currently have 30computers, Two computer labs, two network printers, 5 scanners, 4 iPod touch carts,  moblie laptop cart, smartboard, iMac, 2 macPro, iPad3, digital cameras. web cameras, and flip cameras. Each grade level works on projects and assignments that are integrated with specific units of study. Some of the units that are introduced are as follows:


Word Processing




Digital Tools

Basic Computer Skills

Windows Movie Maker

Computer Programming






The internet is accessible on each computer. All students have to sign a technology agreement. Internet will be used under the supervision of the Computer Lab Teacher and/or a Teacher.





The faculty and staff of North Vista Elementary School believe that technology skills and knowledge are necessary in order to compete in a global economy. Our beliefs are:


* Faculty and staff should be competent in technology


* Students should be provided with a broad range of technology instruction and students should be actively engages in technology


* Students should exercise the rights and responsibilities of technology citizenship


* All stakeholders share responsibility for technological progress
